Appeals

While the focus is on appealing family law cases, I have handled appeals in family, civil, and criminal matters.  An appeal, which must be filed within 30 days of the court order is done when want an appellate court to review the decision of the trial court.  I handle cases for both the Appellant (the person challenging the order); and Appellee (person defending order of the court).  The costs of appeals include not only the attorney but filing fees of $400.00 and obtaining the transcript of the trial which typically ranges between $1,500.00 and $2,500.00. As such, I provide a free initial consultation to determine if it is worthwhile to incur the cost of an appeal. Call our office today at (772) 460-5070 so we can best assess your unique situation.
