Chet Eliot Weinbaum has 25 years of experience in Marital and Family Law. He graduated with his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida with Honors in 1993. What make his practice so unique is that he also holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology. This has proved very valuable in working with families going through their toughest time.

Legal Assistant/Office Manager
Kelly Fox is Mr. Weinbaum’s Legal Assistant/Office Manager and has been with him since January 2014. She is a native of Fort Pierce and a single Mother to a teenage boy.
She is a former employee with the St. Lucie County Clerk of Circuit Court. During the 23 years she was there, she worked in the Family Relations Office for about 19 years and was the Family Relations Manager for about 10 of those years. She worked hand in hand and built close relationships with the Judiciary, Attorneys and Sheriff’s Department.
While in High School she worked for Dugout Sport Shop and did so until 1990 when she went to work for the Clerk’s Office. This is where she picked up her love of sports.
She is always involved in the community. She has been Secretary and Treasurer for the Fort Pierce Orchid Society, has been Secretary, Treasurer and a Coach with Fort Pierce Little League and has done volunteer work with numerous other organizations.
Her hobbies are golf, orchids and fishing to name a few. She loves Baseball, the New York Yankees, College Football and the Florida Gators.
Bilingual Legal Assistant
Marlene Hernandez is Mr. Weinbaum‘s Bilingual Legal Assistant (Spanish) and Billing Coordinator, working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. Marlene has been with him for over 4 years now. She was born in Cuba and has lived in Florida for over 48 years. She is married to Jose her high school sweetheart for 38 years and has two adult children.
Marlene worked at the City of Port Saint Lucie in the Engineering and Legal Department for about 5 years. When she lived in Miami, she worked with three attorneys as their paralegal dealing in Civil Litigation and Family Law.
She has a passion for helping others, is involved in her church and has a marriage life group of 20 couples attending by-weekly. Marlene volunteers in the Community helping in various organizations dealing with children’s welfare. Among her other interest are dancing, fishing, planting orchids and her new love for RVing.
